Background
Fireboard is a new release of the recently merged Joomla Board andFireboard development teams. Artio has yet to release a plugin orpatch to make it work so I have altered the Joomlaboard code to make itwork for Fireboard as a new SEF extension file.

The Problem
Unfortunately the makers of JoomSEF haven't had time or anyinclination to develop a free plugin to work with the new Forumcomponent called Fireboard. So, we are faced with unfriendly URL's inour Fireboard Forum!! .. something I hate as a Joomla SEO expert.


The Solution
Download the extension file below and follow the directions containedwithin. This plugin patch is confirmed as working on Joomla 1.0.12stable, Fireboard 1.0.0 JoomSEF 1.5.0 (get the hacked copy from my sitewww.kangainternet.com.au, hacked because I removed the Artio hiddentags!!!). Having said that I believe this patch will work on Joomla1.x, JoomSEF 1.x and Fireboard 1.4.x & 1.5.x. Can't hurt to try iton other versions as it doesn't replace any files.

Installation

Joomsef must be installed and working then just follow these procedures
1. Extract the zip file locally
2. upload the extracted contents, "com_fireboard.php" file to your "/components/com_sef/sef_ext" folder.

The plugin is now installed.
