It's commonly thought that no. of broadband users is growing up, but it's also a fact that many people still use dial-ups. So, don't be one-sided and consider both aspects. Design a website that fulfills requirements of both visitors, without harming any one's expectation. An image of size 10-15 KB is good enough. But, which image I am talking about? Having a cool snap of your friend's pet doesn't mean that you can use it for your website. So, always use images relevant to your business. It's a pre-requisite of web design.

Secondly, or the next most important part of web site design is, accessibility. When a visitor visits a website, it's only the accessibility that attracts him/her. So, be very conscious about the accessibility issues when you plan to create a website. Moreover, content of your website must be unique and it should be relevant to your products and business.
